Dr. Roberta Grazioli

A message for you

Our goal is to fully care for the body-and-mind well-being of the young dancers in our dance schools.

Dr. Roberta Grazioli*—Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and EMDR Practitioner**—continues her collaboration, spanning over a decade, with the children and young people of the Ukrainian Ballet Academy, the students' parents, the instructors, and the Director, Caterina Calvino Prina.
Starting this year, the extended family of AUB, TAM Training, and CIBU welcomes the prestigious Teatro Carcano Dance School. This offers students and parents from all locations—ranging from the youngest in the introductory course to graduates and beyond—the opportunity to schedule in-person sessions at the Carcano facility (at Corso di Porta Romana 63) or to participate online.

May the flight be a courageous one for all of you—girls and boys alike.

Telling my story

I hold a degree in Psychology and have specialized in psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as in EMDR therapy—a structured psychotherapeutic method that facilitates the treatment of various psychopathologies and issues stemming from both traumatic events and more common, yet emotionally stressful, experiences.

Always passionate about the world of children and adolescents.

I see firsthand, on a daily basis, the value my work can have in the lives of the people I try to help—the patients I treat.

In particular, drawing on my experience in treating children and adolescents with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), I have observed the effectiveness of EMDR for this age group and immediately integrated it into my clinical practice.

I have recently been delving deeper into the subject of stabilization by incorporating body-based techniques drawn from Mindfulness and Trauma-Informed Yoga, thereby combining the scientific rigor of therapy with the more human and spiritual aspects of the profession I love so much. With a keen interest in the impact of traumatic experiences on personality development—including in minors—I have furthered my study of attachment theory, emotional regulation, and eating disorders.

When helping patients with a distorted perception of their weight and body image, I have long worked alongside a nutritionist colleague.

Our teamwork thus gains strength. It stems from the awareness—gleaned from literature and continuous training—that “we cannot do it alone.”

Indeed, we must act together, weaving our expertise to reunite the body, mind, and heart of those who turn to us in search of profound and lasting change in their well-being.
