Nadejda Scepaciov was born in Speia, Moldova, in 1976. In 1987, she entered the state school of music and ballet, graduating in 1995. That same year, she was hired by the Chisinau Opera and Ballet Company and immediately won the role of prima ballerina in the ballet Spartacus. Until 2010, she worked as prima ballerina at the theater, performing the roles of Clara in The Nutcracker, Kitri in Don Quixote, the Sylph in Les Sylphide, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Odette and Odile in Swan Lake, Lisa in La Fille Mal Gard\u00e9e, and Giselle. In 2008, she received the prestigious recognition of Emeritus Artist of the Republic of Moldova. She has won several competitions, including first prize at the international competition in Constanta (Romania) and first prize for her choreography at the international competition of dancers and choreographers in Moscow. In 1997, she received the Moldovan State Prize for her performance as Giselle in the ballet Giselle. She has toured extensively with the Opera House company throughout Europe, and with the Moscow Ballet company, she toured China. In 2007, she began collaborating with AUB, appearing as a guest at its grand galas and as a principal dancer on its tours.
