He began his training at a very young age in his hometown of Taranto; after a few years of study, La Scala *\u00e9toile* Liliana Cosi took him under her artistic wing, preparing him for admission to the Paris Opera Ballet School and the Vienna Opera Ballet School. Upon coming of age, he graduated with honors as a professional dancer from the Vienna Opera School\u2014under the direction of Jolantha Seyfried\u2014having studied in the class of V. Onoshko, a renowned teacher from the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg. Following his studies, he performed with the theater's corps de ballet in various works from the classical, neoclassical, and contemporary repertoires, including *La Bayad\u00e8re*, *Ballo in Maschera*, *Swan Lake* (starring Polina Semionova), *Romeo and Juliet*, *The Nutcracker*, *Bits and Pieces*, and *Copp\u00e9lia*. After his four-year stint in the Austrian capital, he joined the Salzburg Ballet under the direction of Peter Breuer, performing both corps de ballet and soloist roles in neoclassical works by Breuer himself, as well as in repertoire pieces by renowned choreographers such as Rudolf Nureyev, William Forsythe, and August Bournonville. In Germany, Pierpaolo served as a soloist at the Theater Vorpommern in Greifswald (directed by Ralf Dornen of the Hamburg Ballet) and with the Deutsches Fernsehballett company; he danced principal roles in *Bol\u00e9ro*, *Carmen*, *Napoli*, *4+1 Elements*, *Quattro forme per Archi*, *Frau Luna*, *Tanzzeit 2011*, *Ravel*, *West Side Story*, *Beauty and the Beast*, and *Rhapsody in Blue*. He also appeared as a guest soloist for two summer seasons with the Balletto del Sud, performing in *Oedipus Rex*, *Carmen*, *The Firebird*, *Scheherazade* (alongside Luciana Savignano), *Homage to Mozart*, and *La Traviata*\u2014all choreographed by Fredy Franzutti. In July 2012, he was invited to perform and received an award from Mauro de Candia at a gala celebrating Italian excellence abroad. During the 2012\u20132013 season, he danced in several productions with the Staatsballett Berlin and performed classical ballet roles in Italy and abroad alongside partners from the Berlin Opera, La Scala, and the Vienna Opera. In 2013, he studied classical dance pedagogy at the Berlin conservatory. Pierpaolo was invited as a guest teacher at the English National Ballet School in the summer of 2015. Since 2015, he has been a soloist with the Ukrainian Ballet, performing in major repertoire works\u2014such as *Giselle*, *The Sleeping Beauty*, *The Nutcracker*, *Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs*, *Carmen*, *Chopiniana*, and *Don Quixote*\u2014at Milan\u2019s Teatro degli Arcimboldi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
